Coach Juan’s Corner: Help Us Get to Cooperstown!
Hey Squires Family,
This season, I want to talk about something that’s just as important as hitting, pitching, and fielding — our fundraising efforts to get the Moorpark Squires to Cooperstown in 2028.
For our players, that trip isn’t just another tournament. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience — a chance to compete on the biggest youth baseball stage in America, walk in the footsteps of legends, and create memories that will stay with them forever.
🟣 Why We’re Fundraising
Getting to Cooperstown takes more than great defense and hard work — it takes team effort from our entire community. Tournament entry fees, travel costs, lodging, meals, and equipment all add up quickly.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every dollar we raise goes directly to helping our players and their families make the dream possible. None of our coaches are paid — we do this because we love the game and believe in these kids.
Every donation, every sponsorship, every person who buys a hat or a hoodie is part of the team that gets us there.

And of course, if things get a little chaotic along the way, you’ll probably still hear me say:
- “Unlucky!” when a raffle ticket doesn’t win.
- “Long hop, no hop!” when we’re hustling to set up a booth just right.
- “Put a glove on that foot!” — well, that one might just make its way into our fundraising jokes too!
